Desirée Caputi

Generation Zoomer, Desirée Caputi was born in a small town in Basilicata, cradle of many artists including the great director Francis Ford Coppola. She dreams of traveling the world to be able to photograph places, people, life situations, seize the right moment to tell something. Over time she realizes that photography is so much more to her, recognizing in herself the ability to see things differently, from an artistic point of view. She moves to Naples and it is love at first sight, the city captures her to the point of developing a visceral love for her contradictions, a fatal attraction for the sudden glances it offers. She becomes a hypnotized and bewitched observer of the metropolis, attributing equal value to the beauty and squalor that she chases after in many shots stolen on the street. In Naples you will study at the ILAS Academy advertising photography, coming out with honors, attending the class of master Pierluigi De Simone. After making herself known in the Campania region with some of her works, in 2019 she began her work at Santangelo Studios first as a digital for the fashion photographer Gerardo Mastrogiovanni and then becoming personal assistant of the famous photographer and art director Diego Santangelo from whom she learned photography studio and on location. It is a time of discovery, assimilating much of the international knowledge that he communicates to her by teaching her without saving the art in which she feels most at ease, maturing hours and hours of direct experience in the field, then first being introduced to the world of graphic layout and subsequently to that of cinematography. Traveling through a broad spectrum of visual experiences that quickly shape her to make her a full-fledged fashion photographer. Within a few years she took on increasingly independent roles. Thanks to the creative direction of talents such as Naomi Sally Santangelo, di Diego Santangelo, Di Paola Manfrin, he begins to photograph as owner or as second photographer his first campaigns for brands such as ALESSANDRINI, VICOLO, ISAIA, REFRIGUE, VIVETTA, COCONUDINA, LUISA POSITANO. Both in the photographic and graphic fields, she reveals a refined, clean and formally oriented style towards the dynamic composition of unusual lines, perspectives and posing. In 2022 she becomes a partner of Santangelo Media Studios, a film company in which she will become assistant director and focus puller alongside director Diego Santangelo in various television commercials such as Kenon coffee, La Torrente, Vingino, SSC NAPOLI and with whom she will participate in the creation of the work before the director, the film ''A MUZZARELL''.
